PDF tools that respect the document

Think about what's inside the PDFs you handle: signed contracts, bank statements, medical results, tax forms, ID scans. Now think about what most online PDF tools ask you to do with them — upload them to a stranger's server and hope. We built these tools the other way around: the merging and splitting happens inside your browser tab, using an open-source library running on your own device. The document never travels anywhere. Close the tab and it's gone.

There's a second benefit that matters for quality: these operations are lossless. Merging copies the page objects from one file into another; splitting does the same in reverse. Your text stays selectable, vectors stay sharp, and nothing is re-rendered or recompressed at any point.

Which tool do you need?

• Merge PDF — combine a stack of files into one: scanned signature pages onto a contract, individual invoices into a single expense submission, chapter files into one booklet. Add the files, drag the order with the arrows, click merge.
• Split PDF — pull pages out of a bigger document: extract pages 2–5 of a report, separate one receipt from a scanned batch, or break every page into its own file. Ranges like 1-3, 7, 10-12 are supported.

Good to know

Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened by these tools — remove the password in your PDF reader first. Bookmarks (the outline sidebar) and fillable form fields are not carried over when merging or splitting, because they belong to the document as a whole rather than to individual pages. Everything visible on the pages comes across exactly as it was.

Tips for clean results
