How to merge PDF files
- Add your PDFs. Drag two or more files onto the box, or click to browse. Only PDF files are accepted.
- Set the order. The list is the page order of the final document — move files with the ▲/▼ arrows and remove anything you added by mistake.
- Click Merge PDFs. A progress line tracks each file. When it finishes, download your single combined PDF.
What merging actually does
The tool opens each file in your browser's memory, copies its page objects — text, images, vectors, everything drawn on the page — into a new document, and saves the result. Because pages are copied rather than re-created, the merge is lossless: fonts stay embedded, text stays selectable and searchable, and image resolution is untouched. A 200-page merge of scanned documents produces exactly the file you'd get from a desktop PDF suite.
Two things don't travel with the pages, and it's worth knowing why: bookmarks (the outline sidebar) and fillable form fields. Both are document-level structures rather than page content, so browsers-based merging drops them. If your file relies on interactive forms, fill and flatten them in your PDF reader before merging.
When do you need it?
- Applications and submissions — portals that demand "one PDF" for a CV, cover letter and certificates that exist as three files.
- Contracts — attaching a signed signature page to the main agreement.
- Accounting — combining a month of individual invoices or receipts into one attachment.
- Scanning — phone scanners produce one file per batch; merge them into the complete document.

Privacy you can verify
You don't have to take our word for it: open your browser's developer tools (F12), watch the Network tab while you merge — the only traffic is this page's own assets. Your document itself is read from disk into memory and written back to your Downloads folder. That's the entire journey.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Merging happens entirely in your browser. Your documents never leave your device, and closing the tab discards everything.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
No. Pages are copied from one file to another as-is — text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.
Can I choose the order of the files?
Yes. After adding files, use the arrow buttons to move each one up or down. The merged document follows exactly the order shown in the list.
Why does a password-protected PDF fail?
Encrypted PDFs cannot be opened in the browser — that is the encryption doing its job. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then merge.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
Bookmarks (the outline sidebar) and interactive form fields belong to the source document as a whole, so they are not carried into the merged file. All visible page content is preserved exactly.
Is there a limit on files or size?
No artificial limit. Device memory is the only ceiling; merging dozens of typical documents works fine even on a phone.
